The Huawei P20 was presented at a major European event in Paris and offers not only a whole lot of power, but also a lot of interesting features. The phone comes with Artificial Intelligence, which is used to optimise picture and battery performance. You can choose between a black and blue model, finished with a glass design.

The FullView display is elongated, and a dual camera is fitted on the back of the device. The battery has a capacity of 3400mAh, and ensures that you'll always have enough power. You can listen to music via the USB-C port or wirelessly. It's not possible to expand the storage space.

Glass design

Huawei has released this device in black and blue colours using premium materials. With a metal body and a glass finish, the device looks very sleek, but also handles comfortably. The camera protrudes a little and the fingerprint scanner can be found on the front.

Display with notch

This scanner has been placed under the screen that has minimal bezels and a notch on the front. In this so-called 'notch' you can find the front camera and the speaker. The screen has a 2244x1080 pixel resolution and an elongated shape that is perfect for watching media or multitasking.

Two cameras on the back

Huawei's P20 is equipped with two cameras on the back, one of which takes pictures in colour while the other takes pictures in black and white. Both pictures are combined to create a picture full of contrast and colour. You can also play around with the depth-of-field effect, also known as bokeh, where the object in the foreground is sharp, while the background is a bit blurry.

You can also bring objects closer thanks to the dual Hybrid Zoom, which doesn't cause any loss of quality. On the front, you'll find a 24-megapixel camera, which allows you to shoot the most beautiful selfies. In all, you'll definitely shoot good pictures and videos with this P20!

Artificial intelligence

The Huawei P20 also offers several features in the field of artificial intelligence. For example, AI is used with the camera, as objects are recognised and settings are automatically adjusted in order to always take good pictures. Processes are optimised, so they'll work better and require less battery power, which results in an even longer battery life!

Dual SIM: twice as reachable

The phone has no space for a memory card, but there is room to use two SIM cards in the device. This way, you can be reached on two different numbers, while only carrying one phone in your pocket. This might come in handy if you want to separate business and private use, or on a holiday!

Huawei processor

This Huawei smartphone also contains the now well-known Kirin 970 processor, made by Huawei themselves. This chipset has eight computing cores and offers not only the necessary power, but also some tricks in the field of artificial intelligence, so the device learns what you want to do with it and can anticipate it.

This phone is fitted with 4GB of RAM, so you can easily run multiple apps side by side. In terms of storage space, you'll find 128GB in the P20, but it's not possible to expand this space. This is more than enough for most people, but it is something to take into account when buying this phone!

Android Oreo with Huawei skin

Out of the box, the Huawei P20 runs on Android 8.0 Oreo covered by Huawei's own EMUI skin, which adds several modifications. These include colourful looks and the pre-installation of certain apps. Of course, Google services such as Drive, Maps, or the Play Store can be accessed directly.
